Rev. Robin Korsch, Pastor

Dear Reader,

Greetings in the name of Jesus Christ and welcome to our website!

The memory is a little fuzzy now, but the first time I ever surfed the internet in high-speed was in the fall of 1994 at a small computer lab at the University of Waterloo. I was amazed at how fast the computers ran, the internet browser loaded in less than thirty seconds and websites loaded even faster than that! It wasn't until about 2005 that Grace Lutheran came out with her first website. Now we are receiving hundreds of hits every month.

Wow, how the times have changed! Everything moves at lightning speed these days and not just computers. Life is so fast-paced and information is everywhere. What is more important now than ever is sorting out what's valuable in what we see and read from everything else. So it is in life. Faith. Family. Friendship. Community. Relationships and a sense of belonging. These will never get old and will always be important.

I hope you like our website and I invite you to visit us in person. God bless you!

My favourite internet memory is very clear. It was the summer of 1996 and a bunch of friends and I were driving out in the country to go to a retreat. One of my friends in the car was looking at the screen of an electronic device. I asked him what he was doing and he said he was checking his email. Checking your email? How can you do that without being near a computer connected to the internet I asked, amazed. He told me he was a co-op student for a company called Research in Motion and he was testing out a beta device. What he had in his hand is now known as a BlackBerry.

Send me an email .
